grade one student completeing task on CroatianEducational excellence and outstanding facilities are features of Holy Family Primary School that was established in 1955. The school is situated in the suburb of Bell Park, Geelong, Australia, where between 5000 to 6000 Croatians reside.

The atmosphere and culture of our school is borne out of our recognition and celebration of our cultural diversities, faith and life experiences with the life and teachings of Jesus as the foundation.

We offer varied curriculum experiences and knowledge to support a total education experience which strives for excellence. Our committed and professional staff provides creative and diverse teaching strategies.

The school has 250 students of which 104 are from a Croatian background.

Croatian Day ActivityThe Croatian language was introduced into the school along with Italian in 1982. These have been taught ever since.

School has three programs:

 - Mother Tongue for students from Prep Grade Six
 - LOTE program for students from Prep Grade Six
 - Each class gets one-hour lesson per week.

 

Every second year the school organizes Croatian / Italian day where students, parents and teachers are immersed in the culture of the languages taught in the school.
