NOTICE TO ALL ASSESSORS FROM THE COORDINATOR
To all assessors, Please remind your students to arrive at least 15 minutes before the time she/he will be assessed and to bring a sixty minute tape C60 blank to record the orals and the comments given by assessors. Also please ask your students to check their room numbers on arrival as there may still be some unforseeable changes. Look forward to seeing you on Saturday, September 5th.
The VCE Oral Practice Day is designed to support VCE teachers and students by providing them with practice and experience in an activity that is intended to be similar to the end of year VCE oral examination. Each student is allocated 18 minutes with a VCE teacher. This allows 15 minutes as a practice oral examination and 3 minutes feedback time. Students are encouraged to bring a cassette tape with them so that they can take away a recording of their session. As well as being a valuable practice session for students it also provides teachers with excellent P.D experience. Each teacher registering students is expected to be available for two 90 minute sessions and so gets to hear 10 students. Teachers are provided with a list of questions as a guide and a feedback sheet for each student. It is important to note that the activity is not intended to replicate exactly what will occur in the examination, and that any views expressed during the course of the activity are those of practising teachers, not official advice of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority.
