The Modern Language Teachers' Association of Victoria, Inc. (MLTAV) 2019 Annual Conference 'Languages 2019: Reality, Relevance, Rethinking' is scheduled for Friday 17 May 2019. The Conference will be held at The Catholic Leadership Centre, 576 Victoria Parade, East Melbourne VIC 3065.

Conference Morning Keynote:
Professor Rachel Nordlinger FAHA, Director, Research Unit for Indigenous Language, ARC Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language, School of Languages and Linguistics, University of Melbourne - speaking on: 'The genius of Australian Indigenous languages, and why they are important for all of us'.

The MLTAV Annual Conference offers a unique setting in which Victorian Languages teachers are encouraged to engage with, and learn from, colleagues from within your Language-specific network as well as teachers of other Languages. Learnings from Conference sessions are generalised, enabling adaptation for use in your own classroom context.

Registration Fees:
- MLTAV Member (Early Bird - gst included) - $220.00
- Non-Member (gst included) - $370
- MLTAV Member 100km from Melbourne CBD regional teacher support - $145
- MLTAV Member Student / Unemployed (gst included) - $145 
- Presenter - $0 (MLTAV covers the registration for Conference Presenters)

Important Note: Government school teachers are entitled to a $30 registration fee reduction funded by the Victorian Department of Education and Training. This fee reduction is NOT valid if you already select a concession rate about (student/unemployed) or if you are registering as a presenter.

If you are interested in presenting a session that encompasses the notions of the Reality, Relevance and Rethinking in Languages teachers' professional practice, (relevant to all levels OR Foundry, Primary, Secondary, Tertiary), please submit your online Expression of Interest via the following link:

Sessions run for 50 minutes.

All presenter expression of interest responses MUST be submitted online (using the above survey tool link) by FRIDAY 5PM 12 APRIL. You will be notified of the outcome of your presentation Expression of Interest as soon as possible after the closing date.
