MLTAV 2020 AGM - Formal Notification to all Members

The MLTAV cordially invites members to attend the 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Modern Language Teachers’ Association of Victoria, Inc. (MLTAV).

The Agenda of the AGM, includes:

• Welcome, Present and Apologies;
• Confirmation of the Minutes of the 2019 Annual General Meeting;
• Reports from the President, Treasurer and Sub-Committees on the activities of the Association during the preceding financial year;
• Election of the 2021 Committee of Management (under the current Rules); and
• Collection of names of the incoming Single Language Representatives (where  finalised), in accordance with Rule 50 (6) of the MLTAV ‘Rules’.

You are also invited to join the MLTAV Committee, if you are interested in contributing to the organisation in this way. ONLY MLTAV financial members are able to nominate and/or vote for 2021 Committee Members. Each current membership has the right to ONE vote. This includes School Memberships - only ONE person representing their School is entitled to vote. Nominees must also be current MLTAV financial members. Current financial members who are unable to attend the virtual AGM in person, are entitled to complete a proxy voting form nominating another MLTAV member as their proxy. Each current financial membership has the right to ONE vote. This includes School Memberships - only ONE person representing their School is entitled to vote. Persons acting as process must also be MLTAV members entitled to vote at the time of the AGM.
